Song Writing:
I began writing songs when I was 11 or 12, just for fun. Although they were mostly stupid songs, the ability quickly became a useful way of dealing with life. It has helped me tremendously in my walk with God. When I am mad, glad, happy, or sad I can write a song and tell Him about it.
The words flow like a river in my head that I have to tame to get any since from them. The music just follows them. I never sit down and “try” to write a song. They just pop in my head, usually when I’m dealing with something or when I’m in a creative mood. Often a conversation to God about something ends up a song.
My wish is to inspire others to a point where they can really know God for all that He is, and to encourage them in their journey through this life. Many times it's a song that makes me smile when I don’t feel like it. So I just want to pass that along to the rest of the world.
Drumming:
I got my first drum set when I was 5 but I officially started playing drums when I was 15 years old. When I was 16 I tried out for a local Gospel group and, although it wasn't my favorite kind of music, I joined the group that night. During the next 2 years we played many churches, and other places in WNC and made 2 Cds. Being a teenager with a group of adult musicians was a great experience. I learned a lot about music and working with other musicians, which can be a challenge.
While in college I filled-in for a church called H20 in Orlando. It was an incredible worship atmosphere and is still the highest point in my drumming career. I can’t wait to be in that environment again!
In Florida I found a church and met a dear friend Paul Feinberg. We helped create the next band that I played drums in called “Soul Radiance” (love the name). The band was together less than a year but we recorded 4 songs together. They were all very talented for their ages and it was a good experience. Check the “Drums” page for a sample!
Since then I've been drumming at my home church and was the original drummer for a new church in Haywood County, NC called Pinnacle Church. It was a pleasure to be a small part in the history of such a place.
Drumming is a big part of my life and I’ll be playing somewhere until I die.
Recording:
The day before my 17th birthday I went to a studio for the first time. That was one of the best days of my life. To hear what I just played coming back through the headphones was so cool. I knew that day, one of the things I wanted to do with my life.
When I was 20, I moved to Florida to go to Full Sail, a recording/film school in Orlando. Wow, it was great. I learned a lot and just being around equipment that I had only seen in pictures was awesome. I got my first computer and some gear and ever since I have been recording someone, somewhere, sometime, and I've never looked back. Visit my website: www.mysticrecording.com

Film:
At a young age I
remember being amazed by movies. Not the actual movie itself, but how
it could be made. I would pretend I was making movies all the time, but
I really did not even know where to begin. I knew I wanted to find out
more though.
While in college I read that
the creators of Baywatch had their work shown on national TV while they
were still teenagers. I knew that if I was serious about my dream, I had to act then. So I stayed another year and got a Film degree. It
was the highlight of my life! Just being on set was an awesome
experience, I didn’t want to leave. Now most of my confusion over
movies is gone. I can’t wait until I can help make another one. I’m
currently (11-7-08) writing a screenplay, so maybe I won’t have to
wait much longer.
I have the same desire
with movies that I do with music, they fit so well together. I want
people to walk away from my movies a changed person, a thinking person,
and a thankful person. Visit my website:

Ministry:
My goal for my life
is to do something new, something captivating, something bold, and let
the river in my mind flow freely to change the world. If I write a
song, that I play drums to, that’s in a movie I make then it will all
make since to me. Thank you for your time and may God truly bless your life!
